เทอร์โมคัปเปิล (Thermocouple) คือ ทรานสดิวเซอร์ (Transducer) หรือ เซนเซอร์  วัดอุณหภูมิที่ทำงานโดยอาศัยหลักการทำงานของการเปลี่ยนแปลงสมบัติทางไฟฟ้าในรูปแบบของแรงดันไฟฟ้า สามารถกำเนิดแรงดันไฟฟ้าได้เองได้เองเมื่อมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงอุณหภูมิระหว่างจุดสองจุด โดยไม่จำเป็นต้องกระตุ้นด้วยแหล่งจ่ายพลังงานจากภายนอก สามารถใช้งานได้โดยตรงในรูปของเครื่องมือวัด หรือการส่งสัญญาณทางด้านเอาต์พุตให้กับระบบควบคุม สำหรับใช้ในกระบวนการอุตสาหกรรม

เทอร์โมคัปเปิล ประกอบด้วยเส้นลวดโลหะตัวนำต่างชนิดสองเส้นต่อเข้าด้วยกันมีย่านในการวัดอุณหภูมิที่แตกต่างกันไป ปลายข้างหนึ่งใช้เป็นจุดวัดอุณหภูมิ ส่วนปลายอีกข้างหนึ่งนำไปต่อกับมิเตอร์หรือวงจรอื่นๆ เพื่อแสดงผล ใช้สำหรับเป็นจุดอ้างอิงดังรูป
